Organizing events

Once you are approved as a full member of the Lund Observatory Network you will be able to use this website and/or the Lund Observatory e-mail list to promote planned events.  Please specify if the event you are planing is intended for network members only or if it is open to a wider audience.

Here are some examples:

Conferences

  • Conferences planed by network members can be prominently featured on the Lund Observatory website.  This includes registration for the conference, participants list, conference programme etc.  Please contact the webmaster to help you set that up.

Meetings

  • Meetings organized by network members can either be added to the calendar and/or be more prominently featured on the website to gain more visibility.

Seminars / Talks

  • Seminars / Talks organized by network members can be added to the calendar.  Network members can do this themselves once access has been activated (requires LUCAT account).

Vacancies

  • Are you hiring?  Tell people about available positions at your group/company by announcing upcoming vacancies, including where and when to apply, to the calendar.  Network members can do this themselves once access has been activated (requires LUCAT account).

Public events

  • Public events that are organized by members of the Lund Observatory network can be added to the calendar. Network members can do this themselves once access has been activated (requires LUCAT account).

News items

  • News items from network members should be featured on the website.  You can either contact the website manager for this or publish your own news item once access has been activated (requires LUCAT account).

Network communication

  • Once you have been added to the Lund Observatory network you can send information via email to all members of the network:  lundobservatory [at] fysik [dot] lu [dot] se   Please use this power responsibly.
