Gaia mission

Lennart Lindegren will give the second Lund Observatory at Mötesplats Rydberg seminar on the topic of the Gaia mission.

The Gaia mission scanned the sky from 24 July 2014 till 15 January 2024 provinding data for more than two billion stars and other astronomical objects. It has revolitionzied our view of the Milky Way, our home galaxy.

A more detailed abstract will appear closer in time to the talk.
